An online business is very cut throat. You have to arm yourself with the proper know-how and the tools to make your site a cut above the rest. Each day sites are fighting to optimize their rankings in websites and if you lose your guard, you may just get trampled on and be left in the abyss filled with so many failed e-commerce sites.
The success of your website online largely depends on the level of visibility it enjoys. Thus we can say that secret of success of any website on internet totally depends on how many people visit it a day or a month and then need of search engine optimization comes up. This will only happen with a robust and effective website search engine optimization program.
Regardless of what is said on the internet there are several different ways to get good search engine rankings. It is also a lot easier that some people would like you to think. It simply amazes me how many sites are ranked that have no clue what they are doing. The ones that are number one, but it is obvious that they aren’t really optimizing for that word. The reason I wrote this is to give you some things that you can focus on to get your site ranked well.
This depends on where you are at right now in the timeline of starting your business. If you are going to start a business and have yet to register a domain name, then I would say go ahead and register a domain name with the keywords you want in it. If you have multiple keywords then separate them with a hyphen. Also keep this simple, and make sure people can remember it. A site like http://www.this-is-my-main-keyword-and-here-is-another.com is probably not a good idea. The reason I say that it is a good idea is because when people link to you naturally, it is possible they will use your domain as the anchor text of the link. By having your keywords separated by hyphens in your domain, you assure yourself that any natural link you get will have the keywords that you want in the anchor text.
